NATIONAL COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS
Our national committees play a crucial role in helping Defense of Democracy succeed.

Board Development Committee
Ensure strategic direction and accountability of the Defense of Democracy National Board of Directors through recruitment, training, guidance, and fostering organizational stability.
Communications Committee
Develop and implement all public-facing messaging about our organization. Tactics include videos, print collateral, social media, and the Defense of Democracy Podcast.
DEI Committee
Build a community that reflects the groups we advocate for, protects against hate, and supports a public education system that aligns with “justice for all.”
Development and Grants Committee
Harness the talents of event planners, grant writers, and other experts to fund the mission of Defense of Democracy.
Legal Committee
Handle urgent legal questions and advise when or if legal counsel should be obtained. (Members do not act as representatives.)
Tech Committee
Upgrade and maintain systems that advance the mission of Defense of Democracy.
